Engineers at the IAPG of Oldenburg’s Jade Hochschule (University of Applied Science) are currently developing a portable optical measurement system to check the roundness of steel tubes. Such checks have become increasingly necessary lately due to problems with steel tubes of inferior quality.
The optical 3D tracking system CamBar B2 is the system component responsible for object registration. The CamBar B2 is designed for portability and stable operation, its measurement accuracy fulfills the requirements of tube diameters from 300mm to 1500mm without a hitch.
